About me:
A software developer for over 10 years, I'm a published author and a contributor to the Ruby programming language community.
I run Ruby-doc.org, the main Web resource for Ruby documentation, and <rubyXML/>, a site covering news and information about Ruby and XML.
I maintain several open-source Ruby libraries, including (a object request-broker for JavaScript clients using asynchronous messaging), Catapult (a light-weight Web services tool), and OOo4R, which allows one to create and manipulate OpenOffice.org documents using Ruby.
I'm also a member of the the Advisory Board for the upcoming Artima Web magazine, Ruby Code & Style
While I have definite preference for working with Ruby (for its clean syntax, rapid development, and ease of maintenance), I've also quite experienced with Java, Visual Basic, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, and assorted Web tools and technologies, including XHTML and CSS.
